James 5:7-9

7 Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. 8 You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

9 Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look—the Judge is standing at the door!

Patience is a virtue. What good does it do for us to pace back and forth and wait to go on that Disneyland trip that's not for another two months? How is that beneficial? In fact, there's two problems I see with impatience:

1) You focus on the future and miss what's happening around you right now. God is moving, but if we're not careful we'll miss it.

2) You try and push to make things happen sooner. And they don't happen in God's timing.

So trust in the Lord, wait on Him and you will see Him move in His timing.
